Violent Femmes 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

Violent Femmes are taking their show on the road, and it’s a beautiful time to see the veteran folk-punk band. They kicked off the trek on June 24th in Milwaukee, WI, and continued through October 28th in Atlanta, GA.

Fans flocked in the thousands to see the group on their co-headlining tour with Flogging Molly last year, and the 2022 trek will only be more exciting. This Violent Femmes tour includes several multi-night events, including a four-show residency at City Winery NYC and two performances at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA. They’re intimate venues to enjoy your favorite legendary folk-punk rockers up close and personal, and nothing is off-limits for the setlist. You’ll hear old favorites like “Blister in the Sun,” “Kiss Off,” “American Music,” and “Good Feeling,” plus newer tracks from their tenth record, 2019’s Hotel Last Resort. 

That last record was a welcomed surprise for fans, as Violent Femmes has had several hiatuses since forming in the late 1970s. They went nearly two decades without an album release, with a 16-year gap between 2000’s Freak Magnet and 2016’s We Can Do Anything, but have delivered consistently high-quality records every time. Hotel Last Resort was an alt-rock masterpiece that paid tribute to the band’s punk roots. And while the possibility of an eleventh album is still unknown… you’ll always get a top-notch record with Violent Femmes.
