Greta Van Fleet 2026 Tour Announcement – Into the Beginning Tour Schedule
Greta Van Fleet are officially heading back on the road. And while most of us knew it was coming eventually, it’s a great time to be a fan of the androgynous rockers. The Michigan rockers have announced the 59-date “Into the Beginning Tour,” kicking off February 3 in Savannah before hitting Tampa, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit, Boston, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Anaheim, Seattle, Denver and more. After a spring run through Europe, they’ll return to North America on July 5 in Vancouver and finish July 31 with a home-state show in Grand Rapids, MI.
It wouldn’t be a return from a hiatus (a two-year one, in this case) without new music, either…and Greta Van Fleet didn’t disappoint. Shortly after their intimate Bowery Ballroom show earlier this year, the band announced new details about their fourth album, Palace For The People. Arriving October 9, the record follows 2023’s Starcatcher and was recorded in Tennessee with producer Mike Elizondo, whose résumé includes everyone from Fiona Apple to Turnstile.
The title was inspired by London’s Alexandra Palace — originally envisioned as a grand gathering place for everyday people — which got the band thinking about what their own version of that communal space might look like. We don’t want to speak for them, but we imagine it’s a little louder, more alternative, and filled with enough fringe outfits to fill Acrisure Amphitheater — which, coincidentally, is exactly what Greta Van Fleet plans to do in the coming months.
Songs like “Play Your Games” and “Saw You Stand” have already introduced this new chapter, with the latter showing off the huge vocals and classic-rock drama that made Greta Van Fleet famous in the first place. They perform with the confidence of rock stars who’ve been doing this twice as long, feeling like a reincarnation of all the stellar artists before them. But the band has also emphasized that Palace For The People is meant to feel modern rather than like another exercise in classic-rock nostalgia.
“I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me and said, ‘This is my best friend. We met through your music or at your show,’” bassist/keyboardist Sam Kiszka said. “And we realized, the music is our palace!”“We love each other just as much as ever, if not more, because we’ve got to spend quality time together off of the road,” his brother Josh added. “We’ve grown closer, and we have more to say and share than ever.”
“The minute the four of us step into a room with the shared goal of creating, there is very little that can stop us,” drummer Danny Wagner added. And with such a bold statement, we can’t wait to see and hear what they’ve created. We already love the classic Greta Van Fleet songs, including “Highway Tune,” “Safari Song,” “Black Smoke Rising,” and “Heat Above,” which show off Josh’s impossible vocals, Jake Kiszka’s guitar heroics, and enough vintage-inspired clothing to make 1975 nervous.
“Highway Tune” spent five weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, while From the Fires earned the band a Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2019. Starcatcher later picked up another nomination in the same category. But even with all these accolades, we still think Greta Van Fleet can top themselves, and have no doubts they’ll do just that on this latest tour and album cycle.
