Foo Fighters 2021 Tour Announcement – The 26th Anniversary tour schedule
Foo Fighters are taking their distinctive brand of alt-rock back out on the road for summer 2021 to celebrate the band’s 26th anniversary, and it’s going to be unlike any Foo Fighters Concert they’ve done in the past. In addition to various sets at summer festivals like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, the band will be kicking off their own summer tour on July 28th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Only two weeks of tour stops have been announced for after Cincinnati as Dave Grohl & Co. take the Foo Fighters’ show to Milwaukee, St. Louis, Bonner Springs, Oklahoma City, and Albuquerque. But stay tuned for more from the 26th anniversary tour as they are already teasing “many more to come.”
This Foo Fighters tour has been a long time coming. Dave Grohl and his bandmates originally planned to celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2020 with a 10-city run, before COVID-19 put an indefinite hiatus on live music. With restrictions slowly being lifted and music fans entering the amphitheaters once again, the Foo Fighters are celebrating nearly three decades in the music industry with a “welcome back” tour unlike any other.
The band first teased these dates on the official Foo Fighters Twitter in late May, posting the original concert bill animated with a hand spray-painting over the second digit to unveil “26.” Fans had many theories regarding this clue, and it sparked a lively conversation, but most guessed correctly — the much-anticipated Foo Fighters tour is coming in summer 2021.
Even with pop and hip-hop dominating the charts in 2021, Foo Fighters continue to be icons in the music industry. Powered by rhythmic guitar riffs, hit songs like “Everlong” and “My Hero,” and Dave Grohl’s trademark vocals, the Seattle-bred band delivers an unmatched variety of grunge and alt-rock that’s only amplified in the arena.
With three years of waiting since the end of the Concrete & Gold tour in 2017-2018, on top of regaling us with a 26th anniversary Foo Fighters tour this summer, fans are itching to be back in the arena belting the classics once again. With punk rock band Radkey as the opener, this is bound to be a tour to remember. Tickets are on sale now for the following dates:
