Maggie Rogers 2023 Tour Announcement – The Feral Joy Tour Schedule
Maggie Rogers is embarking on “The Feral Joy tour” with special guest Del Water Gap, and the indie songstress will sing her heart out! These performances begin on February 9th with a three-night event in Boston, MA, making stops in New York, NY, Atlanta, GA, New Orleans, LA, and more before finishing up on March 5th in San Francisco, CA.
“Been waiting 3 years for this. Sooo ready,” Rogers wrote on Instagram, “see u sooooooooon!” At the same time, she posted a note saying that “this is a record made to be played live,” referring to her sophomore effort, Surrender, released in July 2022, and she’s not wrong. The record is packed with indie, and electropop bops like “That’s Where I Am,” “Want Want,” and “Horses,” all of which will bring Rogers’ voice to new heights when she takes the stage. As much as we love them through our AirPods at the gym, these tracks will take your appreciation for the indie pop hero to the next level, and we can’t wait to see it.
This is far from a sophomore slump for Rogers, who rose to fame very quickly in 2019 with her debut album, Heard It in a Past Life. Through a little bit of luck and a whole lot of talent, she’s now amplifying some of the best venues in the country with her sweet-yet-sultry voice. How did her incredible career come to be, exactly? She was a music student at New York University in 2016 when Pharrell Williams stopped in to critique the work of her and her classmates, and let’s just say that it was a life-changing moment for her.
The uber-famous music producer heard her song, “Alaska,” for the first time, and was simply amazed. “I have zero, zero, zero notes for that,” he says in a video that he later posted online for his millions of followers to see, “I’ve never heard anyone like you before, and I’ve never heard anyone that sounds like that.” It’s safe to say that people agreed, which led to Rogers getting a record deal and rapidly rising to fame in her mid-20s. Pharrell helped her get her big break, sure, but she’s proven more than capable of staying relevant on her own. And you’ll see all the incredible, indie pop beats she’s been up to on the Feral Joy tour. Get your tickets now!
