Matchbox Twenty 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

The Matchbox Twenty tour is happening basically all through summer 2023… will you be there to see the alt-rock hitmakers? They’re kicking off on May 16th in Vancouver, BC, and stopping in dozens of cities before wrapping up on August 6th in Tinley Park, IL.

This Matchbox Twenty tour has been a long time coming, as it was initially planned for 2020! The Orlando, FL, rockers are in the last group of musicians who are putting their pre-pandemic shows into motion, and we’re eternally grateful for it. While it’s been ten years since they released their fourth and latest album, 2012’s North, they’re known to put on an incredible show with their long list of 2000s rock hits. Do “If You’re Gone,” “She’s So Mean,” “3AM,” and “Unwell” ring a bell? Rob Thomas and his bandmates will perform quite the set in every city, and we can’t wait to see it. 

Yes, you heard that correctly… Rob Thomas. Did you forget that the world-famous 2000s solo artist, of “Lonely No More” and “Smooth” (with Santana!) fame, was first the frontman for Matchbox Twenty? We don’t blame you if so, but just know that he’s been known as one of the best rock frontmen in four different decades. Matchbox Twenty rose to fame in the mid-1990s with their debut album, Yourself or Someone Like You, receiving frequent radio play and Grammy nominations. This fame continued into the new decade with records like 2000’s Mad Season and 2002’s More Than You Think You Are, and while they may be taking a break from making new music… they’ll never get tired of performing a Matchbox Twenty concert.

The band has stayed busy in the 2020s, especially Rob Thomas. He released his fifth solo album, a holiday record called Something About Christmas Time, last year, and rejoined Santana for guest vocals on his latest record, Blessings and Miracles.
