Pepper 2023 Tour Announcement – Kona Town 20th Anniversary Tour Schedule
Pepper is heading on the Kona Town anniversary tour in 2023 to celebrate 20 years of their beloved album! The Hawaiian reggae-rock giants will kick off on February 14th in Flagstaff, AZ, making stops in Seattle, WA, Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, and more before finishing up on March 26th in Albuquerque, NM.
“We were just teenagers, just messing around and having fun; that’s the energy that people get to see onstage,” Pepper said in a video they posted to Instagram, a #throwback montage of them as kids around the time they recorded Kona Town. “They’re just seeing us at home. That’s why we’ve powered through a long, long, long time in the music business; when opportunities jump out at you, you have to just grab them.” Grabbing them is exactly what Pepper did, as the band has gone from their Hawaii home to touring worldwide! Kona Town was their second album and the beginning of their legacy, released back in 2002 to rave reviews.
With songs like “The Good Thing,” “Give It Up,” and “Office,” it was more or less a tribute album to their hometown that allowed them to let loose and have fun, and fans ate it up. The reggae-rock heroes have released eight studio albums, the most recent being 2019’s Local Motion, but Kona Town will always captivate fans. Think of them like the Hawaiian reggae version of Blink 182. This talented trio never takes themselves too seriously but still releases effortlessly catchy, mind-blowing music for road trips and casual days.
They’re a little older now, but Pepper still knows how to rock out on stage. Consisting of Bret Bollinger, Kaleo Wassman, and Yesod Williams, these guys will give Kona Town the love it deserves… maybe even playing the record in its entirety while they dance around with longtime fans! Both old and new supporters will have a grand time on the Kona Town anniversary tour, and you can’t miss seeing the Hawaiian reggae-rock giants in the flesh.
