Ashe 2023 Tour Announcement – Fun While It Lasted Tour Schedule
Ashe is all kinds of excited to hit the road on her “Fun While It Lasted tour”! The electropop-meets-indie folk singer will kick off on April 10th in Washington, DC, making stops in Philadelphia, PA, Chicago, IL, San Diego, CA, and more before concluding on May 23rd in Nashville, TN.
This Ashe tour supports her sophomore album, Rae, released in October 2022. “Since my debut is called Ashlyn and Rae is my middle name, it seemed like the only name for my sophomore album,” the 29-year-old singer said. “I’ve inevitably created a trilogy. Rae reminds me of California sunshine, but it also has a Western grit. Every day, you’re in the middle of your life, from being born to dying. I’m in the middle of my life. Rae marks the next era.” She also describes this record as being “grounded in confidence, sexual freedom, excitement, and liberation,” and it’s apparent in every new single.
“Another Man’s Jeans” is an upbeat revenge anthem, complete with a music video of Ashe dancing and living her best life in a tropical setting. At the same time, “Hope You’re Not Happy,” “Angry Woman,” and “Emotional” follow the same theme of liberation while putting her complete confidence levels on display. For the record, it’s totally warranted, as Ashe is as gorgeous as she is talented. If you thought you were impressed with her debut album, 2021’s Ashlyn, was impressive… just wait until you hear her new guitar-driven hits infused with jazz and folk.
What made Ashe want to switch out her electronic choruses for more folk-rock vibes on her new record? She explained it to Elite Daily with grace. “I love live drums, I love acoustic guitar, and … I think there was a part of my soul that was aching for that,” she says about her musical transition, “[But] I’m grateful for the way I started out because it gave me a lane to start creating in the way that I wanted to.” Whether she’s more on the EDM side or full-on folk-rock, Ashe is a talented young artist with an insanely successful career ahead of her. Why not see her in smaller-to-medium-sized venues for what may be the last time before her crazy rise to mainstream success? Get your Ashe tickets now!
