Where to See Whiskey Myers in 2022
Whiskey Myers has extended its “Tornillo tour” to include four more shows, taking the country-rock group back to the South where they belong! They’ll kick off on December 8th in Jonesboro, AR, making stops in Tupelo, MS, and Huntsville, AL, before wrapping up on the 11th in Macon, GA.
“It’s been a hell of a run getting back on the road this year,” frontman Cody Cannon said in a statement, “We’ve been blown away by the response to the new music off Tornillo, and it seems like every show is bigger and better than the last.” “Wrapping up the year in the Southeast is gonna be one rowdy way to end the tour – they always bring it.” Whiskey Myers has been all around the country in 2022 in support of their latest record, playing new songs like “The Wolf,” “Antioch,” and “John Wayne.” While they’ve had fun in every region, the Texas-born band can’t wait to kick up their heels back home… and you can’t miss their last few Whiskey Myers concerts of the year.
Tornillo was released in July 2022 to great reviews, with Esquire describing it as “straight-up, booze-swilling, highway-driving, heart-on-your-sleeve, blood-on-your-knuckles country music.” If that doesn’t describe a Whiskey Myers concert to a tee, we don’t know what does. Their sixth record peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 14 on the Top Rock albums, displaying the group’s effortless amalgamation of the genres that fans have loved since 2007.
Whiskey Myers is the definition of “a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll,” and we’re here for it. Are you ready to celebrate Tornillo a few more times with them before the end of the year?
Despite supporting their new record on this trek, the group is also celebrating the successes of their previous singles. Four of their songs recently earned incredible honors from RIAA. The tracks “Stone,” “Ballad of a Southern Man,” and “Broken Window Serenade” were all certified Platinum, while “Virginia” earned Gold status.
While the band has been together for well over a decade, they’re finally starting to reach a new level of mainstream success! This has brought legions of new fans and more tour dates, but the latter won’t last long! Get your tickets to the last few Whiskey Myers concerts of the year, with tickets available now!
