CHVRCHES 2027 Tour Announcement – All the King’s Men Tour Schedule

CHVRCHES are officially back from hiatus. And after six years without an album, fans are running, not walking, to hear these new songs through the live speakers. The Scottish trio will kick off their 2027 North American tour on Feb. 13 in Philadelphia before heading to Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Oakland, San Diego, Phoenix and more. The first leg wraps March 14 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

All the King’s Men arrives Jan. 22 as CHVRCHES’ fifth studio album and first since 2021’s Screen Violence. The band stepped away after finishing that album cycle in 2023, with Mayberry releasing her solo debut Vicious Creature while Cook and Doherty explored projects of their own. When the three eventually regrouped, they knew they had to veer off the same synth-pop path they’d been on since 2011. The result? Their “most fearless” record yet, which trades electronica for acoustic sounds and redefines what CHVRCHES is all about.

“It’s going to surprise people, and I hope it’s going to delight them and rip some faces off.” He added, “It’s quite hard, but not to the point where you won’t recognise the band. It’s still the same people and DNA.” That’s evident with the lead single, “Roses,” pushing further into indie rock and acoustic instrumentation while pulling inspiration from British and Scottish history, modern dystopia, and artists ranging from Massive Attack and PJ Harvey to Nick Drake and Bert Jansch.

Other new tracks include “Evil,” “Adore You,” “Overthinker,” “Royal Blue,” “Conman” and “Faith in Flying.” It’s still recognizably CHVRCHES, just with a little less dancing and more dreaming. That doesn’t mean the synth-pop favorites are disappearing, though. “The Mother We Share,” “Leave a Trace,” and “Clearest Blue” have spent years turning CHVRCHES shows into giant neon sing-alongs, and the band has plenty of reasons to keep them on the setlist in 2027.

Their 2013 debut, The Bones of What You Believe, reached No. 12 on the Billboard 200, while “The Mother We Share” cracked the Top 15 on Billboard’s Modern Rock Tracks chart. Every Open Eye later hit the Top 10 in the U.S., and the trio has picked up recognition ranging from a BRIT Award nomination to an NME win for “How Not to Drown.” It’s a lot of accolades…but more importantly, a lot of dance parties that we’ve missed while they took a recording hiatus for the past six years. But that’s about to change.

They took enough time apart to figure out what they didn’t want to repeat, came back with guitars, acoustic textures and some darker ideas, and still managed to sound like themselves.
