Micky Dolenz 2023 Tour Announcement – Headquarters 55th Anniversary Tour Schedule
Micky Dolenz is touring in 2023 in support of the 55th anniversary of Headquarters, the beloved third album by the Monkees. As the last surviving member of the pop-rock group, Dolenz intends to do it justice! He’ll kick off on April 1st in Orlando, FL, making stops in Atlantic City, NJ, Warren, OH, Milwaukee, WI, and more before finishing up on the 27th in Niagara Falls, ON.
“Monkee music was great music,” Dolenz said in a statement, “Terrific songs crafted by gifted writers and produced by skilled producers, but Headquarters will always hold a special place in my heart.” “I remember the camaraderie, the collaboration, the enthusiasm, and the occasional creative angst,” he continued, adding that it was “the first studio album that we had been allowed to create entirely amongst ourselves.” While his brothers in the Monkees may be gone, they’ll always be integral to Dolenz’s journey, both as friends and bandmates. This is why he’s embarking on one of his most exciting tours yet in 2023, accompanied by an anniversary box set with 69 unreleased songs!
The Monkees were known for their many hits over the decades, including “Daydream Believer,” “Steppin’ Stone,” and “I’m A Believer,” but can you believe that they had dozens more? Dolenz will be performing some of these never-before-heard songs in honor of his late bandmates Peter Tork, Davy Jones, and Michael Nesmith, along with the album that helped them rise to fame.
