STS9 played their first post-pandemic show in July 2021 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO – with a two-night event called Sky World that drew in huge crowds. Fans danced under the moonlight to Sound Tribe Sector 9’s greatest hits, often described as “instrumental rock” with elements of EDM, funk, jazz, hip-hop, and more.
While dance music is now the norm in nearly any music festival, Sound Tribe Sector 9 has been doing it since 1998! The five-piece group has released eleven albums, mostly on their label 1320 Records, and played major festivals like Bonnaroo and Electric Forest.
These festival slots have gained them a huge fanbase over the past twenty-three years, leading them to hold their very own mini-festivals! These mainly consist of two-night engagements like Sky World and West of the Moon, which bring their fans together to celebrate “livetronica beats” amid the return of live music.
