The Gaslight Anthem 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
The band announced their return to “full-time status as a band” in March 2022, with frontman Brian Fallon making a statement. I hate to disappoint you, but I need to inform you that there will not be a 10th-anniversary Handwritten Tour or a documentary,” he wrote. “However, I am very pleased to announce to you all that The Gaslight Anthem is returning to full-time status as a band.”
He also stated that they would be soon touring and were writing their sixth LP. It’s been eight years since their last record, Get Hurt, while they haven’t played shows since 2018… so it’s safe to say that fans of The Gaslight Anthem were happy to hear this news. There’s nothing like a global pandemic to put you in the mood to make music again, and we can’t wait to listen to what the punk-indie darlings from the Jersey shore are planning.
Once described by The New York Times as “part of a rich tradition of New Jersey punk, spanning the Misfits to the Bouncing Souls,” the band has been blending all types of rock subgenres since 2006. Some records put them more in Warped Tour territory, while others were loyal to the New Jersey punk scene that inspired them. As for their next record? We’re unsure of the direction yet but can’t wait to get a sneak peek at The Gaslight Anthem tour.
