Hunter Hayes is stepping into his ‘Evergreen’ era, and we can’t wait to see every shade of the genre-bending singer. His next trek, named for his upcoming record, Evergreen, kicks off March 25 in Hopewell, VA, and will touch dozens of cities across the U.S., including stops in New York, Chicago, Nashville, Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, and more.
“Evergreen started as a series of letters from my future self. In some ways, a prayer, and in some ways manifestation,” Hayes says about the album, which has no release date yet. “I wanted to make a project from the future. It’s full of hope, optimism, light, and love. It’s an escape from reality as well as a new way to appreciate the good things in our everyday life, and how every experience shapes us to better and brighter versions of ourselves as we create a better version of our future.”
Hayes has long been known for his fearlessnees when creating new music — mixing country, pop, R&B, blues and even hints of cajun for a custom genre that he might as well trademark. His sound is recognizable from a mile away, and the distinctiveness is only turning up with Evergreen.
