Darius Rucker 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Darius Rucker is continuing his solo tour across the country, with US dates going on through November 13th in Laughlin, NV. There’s still time to buy tickets for the genre-blending singer in a city near you!
Rucker has been touring since early August, taking a break from his gig as the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish for a solo trek. Along with headlining gigs and special events, like his 12th annual Darius & Friends benefit, he’s also played music festivals like Stars and Strings in New York City and Winstock Country Music Festival in Winsted, Minnesota.
Performance shots from these Darius Rucker concerts have been posted on the singer’s Instagram all summer, between his philanthropic efforts and loving tributes to his fellow musician friends. And occasionally, a mix of the two!
Longtime fans of Rucker know that he’s a friend to many in the music industry. He’s toured with the likes of Lady Antebellum and Brad Paisley, crediting his backing band for his decades-long success, and hosted Sheryl Crow and Luke Combs at past Darius & Friends benefits. This past August, he brought his pals together for the 12th annual Darius and Friends benefit, raising over $400,000 for St. Jude’s Hospital.
“I do nothing,” Rucker told Taste of Country at the Nashville, TN, event. “My band does everything.” It’s definitely a bit too modest for the Grammy-winning singer, but this statement does show just how much he values his friends. He played alongside Keb’ Mo,’ Brothers Osborne, and more to bring country tunes for a good cause!
While he’s been known as a country singer throughout the 2000s, Rucker has dabbled in all genres. Hootie & the Blowfish has jazz and rock elements, while Rucker’s solo debut, 2002’s Back to Then, was more R&B and pop. Since then, the five records he’s released have been more on the country side, along with recent singles like “My Masterpiece.”
Rucker has not announced when he will release a follow-up to his last album, 2017’s, When Was the Last Time, but we’re holding out hope that we’ll hear a few new Darius Rucker songs on tour! Check out the tour schedule below and get your tickets to see the singer today.
