Twiddle 2023 Tour Announcement – Distance Makes the Heart Tour Schedule

Twiddle has announced dates for its farewell trek, dubbed “Distance Makes the Heart tour,” and this may just be your last chance to see the legendary jam band! They’ll kick off on January 19th in Washington DC, DC, making stops in Asbury Park, NJ, Solana Beach, CA, Aspen, CO, and more before finishing up on March 12th in Frisco, CO.

“With the support of my bandmates, we are making the difficult decision to take an indefinite hiatus as a band starting in 2024 after 18 years of being on the road,” writes frontman Mihali Savoulidis. “In times like these, I believe that change is necessary for creative growth and proper reflection,” he continued, “Music has engulfed my life ever since I was 14 years old, and since then, I’ve devoted every part of myself to it. Twiddle in particular has been my life’s focus since college, and the band and crew members have been like brothers to me.” “I’ve now come to a crossroads in life where I feel I’m being pulled in different directions,” he concluded, “I need to make the right choice for me and for my family. I feel that now is the time to make a much-needed change to gain a different perspective on life and focus my creative energy elsewhere.”

Indeed, Savoulidis and his bandmates have dedicated their life to being one of the best jam bands of the 2000s. Their reggae-funk rock hits like “Lost in the Cold,” “Jamflowman,” and “Syncopated Healing” have entranced an entire generation, and it’s not easy to process that this may just be the last Twiddle tour ever. Didn’t they just release an excellent new record called Every Last Leaf and play with big names like Andy Frasco and Muscle Tough in 2022? Yes, but we respect the band’s decision, and we’re going to make the most of the last Twiddle concerts for quite a long time. Savoilidis also expressed his admiration for their large community of fans who made this all possible, which softens the sadness even for just a moment!

“We are so blessed to have been able to live out our dreams because of you and your support. Without all of you, none of this would have been possible,” the frontman said, “I wouldn’t trade a second of this experience for anything.
