Shinedown 2022 Tour Announcement – Planet Zero Tour Schedule

Shinedown has announced a new set of performances, with the hard-rock heroes kicking off the Planet Zero tour in fall 2022. They’ll begin performing on September 3rd in Kansas City, MO, with concerts continuing through October 9th in Sacramento, CA.

How many Shinedown tours can happen in one year? In the words of one of the most famous quotes from the hit film, Mean Girls… the limit does not exist. It’s only been a couple of months since they announced the Revolution’s Live tour alongside The Pretty Reckless and Diamante, which kicks off in spring 2022. Before that, they performed a fall 2021 tour that drew in thousands of fans who couldn’t wait to take in their first post-pandemic rock show. It’s clear that the band loves returning to their rightful home on stage, and you can witness their iconic riffs and raging choruses up close on the Planet Zero tour.

This Shinedown tour celebrates the band’s seventh album, Planet Zero, set for release on April 22nd. They’ve already released two singles, “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo,” along with the titular track. These showcase the band’s signature alt-metal sound and the inevitable musical growth that comes with a four-year break between albums. Since they released 2018’s Attention Attention, a lot has changed, and singer Brent Smith has hinted that the album will be more “stripped down” and “controversial” than their previous releases.

Many artists have adjusted their sound post-pandemic to reflect today’s complicated world – the good, the bad, and the downright devastating. It sounds like Shinedown won’t shy away from these complex topics in their lyrics, with emotions rising even further from insane drum solos and Smith’s soaring vocals. Along with the new material, you can also expect to hear older tracks like “Simple Man,” “Second Chance,” and “Diamond Eyes.”
