Gloria Trevi 2022 Tour Announcement – Isla Divina Tour Schedule
Gloria Trevi has extended the Isla Divina tour, and the Mexican songstress is taking her fans to a “divine island” with her dreamy voice. See her beginning August 19th in Laredo, TX, with visits to dozens of cities before the final performance in Miami, FL, on December 3rd.
Trevi has had many nicknames over her nearly 40-year career. Some call her “The Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop,” while others dub her the “Madonna of Mexico,” but almost all can agree that she’s one of the best Mexican musicians of all time. Her pop-rock hits have spanned three decades and eleven studio albums that sold 15 million copies worldwide, and you can hear them all on the Isla Divina tour.
This trek marks her first in three years, as she could not complete her 2019 Diosa de la Noche tour due to the pandemic. The year 2020 had a vast effect on the famed Mexican singer and serves as a central focus on her upcoming tour — albeit with a positive spin.
“‘Isla Divina’ is a world where there are no wars, no pandemic, no violence, no protests,” Trevi said during a Miami press conference. “It’s a world without diseases, where we can laugh and sing, where there is equality. It’s a beautiful world, one that we all dream of and have inside our hearts.” According to Billboard, each Gloria Trevi concert consists of “nearly 15 different outfit changes, 25 of Trevi’s biggest hits, a colorful stage setting, dancers, and a world that transforms from an apocalypse into an ideal island.”
“I start the tour with an apocalypse, and sing about the things we have lost, the loves we have left behind,” she explained. “In this tour, people cry with me, but they also get up and dance!” It’s easy to believe from an upbeat singer like Trevi, who has made people dance with her pop-rock hits for many years. You’ll also hear some new songs, as it’s been reported that Trevi will release her as-yet-untitled twelfth album in early 2022!
