RBD 2023 Tour Announcement – Soy Rebelde Tour Announcement
RBD has announced their reunion trek, dubbed the “Soy Rebelde tour!” The Mexican group will kick off on August 25th in El Paso, TX, continuing for roughly two months before concluding on October 22nd in Los Angeles, CA.
“RBD is a cultural movement that has impacted two generations across the globe,” RBD manager Guillermo Rosas told Variety. “I have been part of RBD since its first international tour in 2006, and for me to see the magic awaken again is a dream come true. We are beyond excited to put this show on the road and let the creativity flow.” All five members have promised an epic show from start to finish, complete with some of the biggest RBD songs like “Sálvame,” “Inalcanzable” and “Empezar Desde Cero.” They know that you’ve been waiting a long time (14 years, to be precise) for the RBD reunion tour, but you won’t be disappointed with these stellar Latin pop shows.
While “Soy Rebelede” translates to “I am a rebel,” the trek is named for their 2004 hit “Rebelde,” the theme song for the telenovela where the group got their start. The Latin pop group left behind an incredible legacy during their short time in music, earning countless accolades and awards while releasing six albums that sold over 15 million copies. Everything about RBD, from their action-packed live show to their swoon-worthy stage attire, captured the hearts of people worldwide. And while it’s been over a decade since they performed together, they always knew they were due for a comeback.
“It’s a new era that makes us really excited, and it’s a new opportunity to share the stage once again and feel a unique energy,” RBD member Maite Perroni told Billboard. “There’re cycles in life and each one of us had to focus on our careers as actors and musicians and that meant we had to give those projects time, energy and a lot of dedication. It also allowed each one of us to grow professionally and personally. Now, the time [for the reunion] is perfect because we’re now more conscious, more mature, we’ll enjoy it from a different perspective now as adults.”
“Our intention this time around is to enjoy it to the fullest, to share, thank everyone and have some sort of closure that I don’t think we had last time around,” she concluded, “We had a goodbye tour back then, but it didn’t feel like we really said goodbye.” It’s a bittersweet affair as this RBD tour closes a certain chapter for the group, who has become one of the best-selling Latin music artists of all time. They’ll laugh, cry, dance, and repeat as they work through all your old favorites, and they can’t wait to see you on the Soy Rebelde tour! Get your tickets today.
