MeWithoutYou 2022 Tour Announcement – Farewell Tour Schedule
MeWithoutYou is embarking on its farewell tour in fall 2022, a bittersweet end for the indie-rock band. They’ll kick off the trek on May 5th in Chicago, IL, with shows continuing through August 20th in Philadelphia, PA.
The farewell MeWithoutYou tour isn’t exactly a surprise, as they originally stated that 2020 would be their “last year as an active band” Of course, their final performances were put on hold when the world shut down due to the pandemic. They believed that they owed their fans a proper set of farewell shows, and rescheduled these concerts that take place over nearly four months — giving fans plenty of time to say goodbye.
Last year marked twenty years of the emo darlings, whose post-hardcore and art-rock hits helped pave the way for plenty of Warped Tour regulars. They’ve released seven albums, the most recent being 2018’s [Unititled], and earned legions of fans worldwide who will likely flock to their farewell tour. What will the setlist look like? We have our guesses, which include art-rock bangers like “In a Sweater Poorly Knit,” “Bullet to Binary,” and “Messes of Men.”
While often compared to the likes of Norma Jean and Circa Surive, the truth is that several things set MeWithoutYou apart from their peers. For one, their lyrics feature religious themes that are less common amongst the alternative crowd. Many are even directly inspired by Muslim poets, Hindu scripture, the Bible, and beyond. They’ve always been unapologetically spiritual in their songs, which helped fans relate to MeWithoutYou on an even deeper level.
While we’re sad to hear that we don’t get any new MeWithoutYou songs, it’s more than worth it to make your way to the farewell tour. Say goodbye in style with the emo and art-rock songs that you grew up with — tickets now available for the following cities!
