Little Feat 2023 Tour Announcement – Boogie Your Spring Away Tour Schedule

Little Feat is ready to “Boogie Your Spring Away” on their latest tour! The country rock will start performing in spring 2023, kicking off on April 12th in Annapolis, MD, and making 12 stops before finishing up on the 30th in Charleston, SC.

Taking place primarily on the East Coast, this Little Feat tour will be one to remember. They’ll be playing their entire catalog of Southern rock hits each night, including “Willin’,” “Fixie Chicken,” “Rock and Roll Doctor,” and so much more! When a band has been around for over half a century and been named as influenced by iconic musicians like Phish, Harth Brooks, Warren Waynes, and more, you know you’re in for a very special night. And a Little Feat concert is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that you don’t want to miss.

Sure, it’s been a full decade since they released their fifteenth and latest album, 2012’s Rooster Rag, but that doesn’t even matter for a band like Little Feat. Their legacy speaks for itself, as they celebrated the 45th anniversary of their first live album, Waiting For Columbus, earlier this year, in addition to completing the “By Request tour” in 2021. The latter is exactly what it sounds like… a trek in which fans can request which songs the band plays each night in true jam band style, showing that Little Feat was way ahead of its time. Phish and Dave Matthews Band may have been doing these things since the 80s, but chances are that Little Feat did it first, and you can be up close and personal with the original Southern rock-meets-jam band-styled group on this Little Feat tour. 

That being said, you won’t be hearing any remixes of their classic hits like “Spanish Moon” and “Oh Atlanta.” Keyboardist Bill Payne reflected on this concept to Mercury News in summer 2022, stating that the setlist is in fans’ hands while they ensure that they’re familiar with every last track. ​​”We’re not obliterating the music — where nobody knows what we’re playing or what they are listening to. It’s the same stuff. It’s just what we’ve always done,” he told the publication. “You react to certain areas that you’d like to jam on something and take it for a spin, maybe implementing some world music — a percussion here and there — and just keeping an open mind about arrangements.”
