Are you ready for the “Parti-Gras tour” with Bret Michaels? The Poison frontman will kick off his solo tour in early 2023, beginning July 13th in Detroit, MI, and making 12 stops before concluding on August 6th in Charlotte, NC.
“If you poured it into a bowl, it’s the spectacular show of KISS, the fun party of Jimmy Buffett and some Pitbull high energy, just good party rave,” Michaels explained in a radio interview, “And then a little Bret Michaels thrown in there for a little pepper on top of everything.” It’s no secret that Bret Michaels knows how to party, but it gets even more rock and roll with some help from his famous friends. Journey vocalist Steve Augeri and Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath will be going on the Parti-Gras tour, and Michaels has outright stated that they won’t be the only guest stars to tear up the stage.
In the past, he’s pulled Paul Stanley and Jimmy Page up on stage, so you know you’re guaranteed an insane show! Michaels describes it as “unique, never quite been done before” and states that “It’s gotta be all killer, all hits, no filler.” For the record, we totally believe him. Michaels is a showman in every sense of the term, as he proved in 2022 on the much-anticipated “Stadium tour” alongside Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. He sang his heart out with Poison every night as they shred through the best 80s, 90s, and 2000s hard rock hits, and we’re obsessed. However, he’s now ready for his own solo headlining tour, and it’s going to be a night of glam metal and good times.
It’s been a while since Michaels released his last solo album, 2013’s Jammin’ with Friends, but there are more than enough hits to go around.
