Ghost 2023 Tour Announcement – Re-Imperatour Schedule
Ghost is coming to your city in the summer of 2023! Dubbed the “Re-Imperatour,” the hard rock band will begin on August 2nd in Concord, CA, continuing through September 12th in Los Angeles, CA.
Can you believe it’s already been a year since they launched “Imperatour,” the first edition of this Ghost tour, across the US? The Swedish rock band has always ensured they get plenty of face time with American fans, and it seems like 2023 will be no exception. Continuing to support Ghost’s fifth and latest album, 2022’s Impera, Papa Emeritus IV, and his backup characters are dying to see you. Pun intended. And you’ll have a hauntingly good time on the Re-Imperatour.
New songs like “Hunter’s Moon,” “Twenties,” and “Call Me Little Sunshine” are as scarily catchy as you would expect, focusing on the “rise and fall of empires” to create a story of their own. Ghost concerts are an uber-theatrical affair, complete with more pyrotechnics, cathedral backdrops, and strobe lights than even the best haunted houses. Vocalist and ringleader Papa Emeritus belts out hard rock hits from the past seventeen years with all-powerful strength and devilishly good stage presence that you’ll need to see to believe!
Who is Papa Emeritus IV? Newer Ghost fans deserve to know. The masked figure serves as the vocalist of Ghost and group mascot, a “demonic anti-pope” who has led the band since 2006, with some help from his bandmates known as “A Group of Nameless Souls,” of course. With a cathedral as their backdrop and spiritually-powered songs as their guide, a Ghost concert is one hell of a show that’s caused equal amounts of captivation and controversy over the years.
Of course, Ghost can’t get enough of the controversy. Shock value is the group’s secret weapon! Add their hard rock essentials, heavy makeup, and hopelessly intriguing live show, and you’ll see why everybody looks forward to a Ghost tour each year. Will you be there to see the Swedish group?
