Alabama 2021 Tour Announcement – 50th Anniversary Tour
Alabama is heading to dozens of states on the band’s 50th Anniversary tour, including their hometown and namesake! The tour has been going on since summer 2021 and continues all the way into 2022!
It’s been more than half a century since the now three-piece country group formed in 1969… but they’re finally ready to celebrate. Fans were thrilled when the band who recorded “Dixieland Delight” and “Mountain Music” announced the 50th Anniversary Tour all the way back in 2018, before health issues, and ultimately the pandemic put an indefinite halt on these Alabama concerts.
Despite these obstacles, Alabama has weathered through the storm and played some of the best concerts of their five-decade career on this 2021 tour. The group has earned an incredible thirty-three No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and intends to play them all for their fans!
“The thing that makes the audiences so special now is that we, as a people, we’ve all come through the worst time that I’ve ever seen in my lifetime and we have lived through it,” singer Randy Owens told Billboard. “The people who made it through, we’ve lived through that time and we’re ready to be entertained and entertain. We’re all thankful that we’re all meeting together at a venue to have a party.”
Alabama has certainly come a long way since their days playing Lynyrd Skynyrd covers in clubs, releasing twenty-six albums that have sold over 75 million copies – making them one of the most successful country acts of all time.
They also incorporate other genres like Southern rock, country pop, gospel, and bluegrass into their tracks… creating a crossover that has helped them appeal to all types of music enthusiasts over the decades. Every generation will find something to love about Alabama, making their 50th Anniversary tour one of the most sought-after of 2021.
