Against the Current is coming your way on the “Nightmares & Daydreams tour!” The pop-rock trio will kick off on April 23rd in Atlanta, GA, making 17 stops before concluding on May 17th in Greensboro, NC.
While 2022 saw them at music festivals like Sad Summer Fest, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock, Against the Current is ready for a headlining tour of their own. They’re continuing to support their latest EP, 2021’s Fever, and can’t wait to play new singles like “Wildfire” and “Blindfolded” for new crowds! Vocalist Chrissy Costanza’s vocals are more powerful than ever, encompassing a mix of raw emotion and rockstar flair, and you can see the band in their prime on this Against the Current tour.
They’ll also be playing older hits like “Gravity,” “Another You,” and “One More Weekend,” which put their pop-punk and synthpop roots front and center. Over their twelve years together, the Poughkeepsie, NY-based group has often been likened to their labelmates Paramore. While the comparison is certainly there, with both bands featuring golden-throated female vocalists and infectious pop-rock choruses, the truth is that Against the Current has made its own impact.
From their 2016 debut album, In Our Bones, to their sophomore effort, Past Lives, and five ultra-catchy EPs, Costanza and co. have come into their own over the years. They’ve played alongside bands in the heavy metal, indie rock, and pop-punk subgenres with all kinds of grace and great times, and they only plan to continue the tradition on their headlining tour!
