Ringo Starr and his All-Star Band 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Ringo Starr and his All Starr Band are back on the road for the first time in years, and it’s not every day that you see such a musical legend right before your eyes. The trek kicks off on September 5th in Lenox, MA, and makes stops in Baltimore, MD, Atlanta, GA, Seattle, WA, and more before concluding on October 16th in Los Angeles, CA.
“Two-and-a-half years has been difficult. I love to play, as you can tell,” the former Beatles drummer said in a statement, referring to his yearlong absence from performing. “I put the All Starrs together 32 years ago and, you know, I was in a couple of bands before that, and…for me, that’s what it’s all about, is playing and having an audience.” Was Ringo Starr inspired to get back to performing after his ex-bandmate announced a 2022 Paul McCartney tour? Possibly, but he was also born to be an entertainer. You can see the 82-year-old in action at this set of fall 2022 shows.
Some may expect these Ringo Starr concerts to encompass all the legendary Beatles hits, but the truth is that they were only a small fraction of his career. He reached worldwide fame as their drummer in the early 1960s, occasionally contributing vocals to songs like “Yellow Submarine” and “With a Little Help From My Friends,” and stuck by them until their breakup in 1970. That’s the same year he released his debut solo album, Sentimental Journey, and he’s released twenty since… the most recent being 2019’s What’s My Name. It’s often a joke that Starr was the most underrated Beatles member, but he’s made quite a career for himself and his All Starr Band over the Decades.
What kind of songs can you expect to hear on this Ringo Starr tour? Maybe a couple of Beatles hits, sure, but also “The No No Song,” “Back Off Boogaloo,” “It Don’t Come Easy,” and more. His musical talent is just as prominent in his 80s as it was half a century ago, and you’ll have the most fantastic time listening to this legend on tour. Get your Ringo Starr tickets now!
