Zakk Sabbath 2023-2024 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Ready to rock out to Zakk Sabbath? Zakk Wylde’s Black Sabbath tribute band has announced an extensive US tour for 2023-2024. They’ll begin on December 5th in Sacramento, CA, continuing through January 20th in Los Angeles, CA.
The bad news? It’s very unlikely that we’ll ever see Black Sabbath take the stage again, especially as Ozzy Osbourne has halted touring to focus on his health. However, Zak Sabbath has all the heavy metal realness and revolutionary showmanship of the OG band! Led by veteran musicians from your favorite hard rock collectives, the tribute group transports listeners back to the 1970s. Soon touring for the first time since 2020, they cover the best Black Sabbath songs. From “War Pigs” and “Paranoid” to “Iron Man” and “Sweat Leaf,” you’ll hear them all performed with the utmost adoration and authenticity.
Trust us, you’ll tossing your hair back-and-forth and singing along to every track with Zak Sabbath’s distinctive take on old-school heavy metal. The cover band is led by Zakk Wylde, founder of Black Label Society and touring guitarist for Pantera, so he knows a thing or two about the genre. Additionally, Zakk Sabbath consists of bassist Robert “Blasko” Nicholson, who previously worked with Rob Zombie and Osbourne himself. Meanwhile, drummer Joey Castillo comes from the Danzig and Queens of the Stone Age rock camp to round out this supergroup.
Is Zakk Sabbath a supergroup, cover band, all-powerful reincarnation of Black Sabbath, or all of the above? We’ll leave that up to you to decide. Every member has an appreciation for Ozzy Osbourne and Co. that’s helped them go beyond just a tribute band, and into a new realm of idol worship. They pay homage to the OG Black Sabbath, whom transformed the genre and influenced generations of rock musicians. Meanwhile, Wylde and his bandmates still put their own distinctive spin on these songs. And we love them for it.
