Where to See Circa Waves in 2023

Circa Waves are making a handful of US stops next year before heading to the UK, and we can’t wait to see the indie rock band in action. They’ll kick off on March 21st in Los Angeles, CA, making stops in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, New York, NY, and more before concluding on the 31st in Washington, DC. 

The group has plenty of new music to debut at these Circa Waves concerts, from their third EP, Hell on Earth, released in August 2022, and their fifth full-length album! Never Going Under will debut at the beginning of the year, and they’re bringing all the indie rock realness you know and love. The new record will feature their latest single, the upbeat “Do You Wanna Talk,” along with other essentials from the Liverpool group that will make you want to dance. 

“Never Going Under speaks to that uniquely modern phenomenon of genuinely not knowing what type of world our kids will find themselves in 30 years,” frontman Kieran Shudall says about the upcoming project. “Physically, environmentally, politically we are completely in the unknown. That scares us all, but ultimately we know we can never give up on the future because how can you?” 

“The songs on the album are written differently from the previous work we’ve put out,” he continued, “They are written from the perspective of my son and also from my own current experience of the climate today.” Is it a bit dark? Yes, but it’s also realistic and relatable to fans of the UK rock band. It’s been nearly three years since they released their last record, 2020’s Sad Happy, and it’s safe to say that a lot has happened since then. They’re taking their bittersweet experiences and making them into the best bouncy rock hits you’ll ever hear, and you’ll see it firsthand on the Circa Waves tour. 

Circa Waves has rapidly risen in popularity since they formed in their native England back in 2013, getting noticed with their 2015 debut, Young Chasers, and only moving up since. They’re known for their deeper lyrics that somehow pair perfectly with bubbly, upbeat choruses, and we can’t wait to see what they’re up to next.
