Kurt Vile 2026 Tour Announcement – KV’s Been Good To Me Tour,
Kurt Vile is heading back out with The Violators in 2026 for the “KV’s Been Good To Me Tour,” a run that kicks off June 16 in Toronto and stretches through November 24th in Baltimore, MD.
This time around, he’s bringing new music with him. Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me drops May 29, and even from the title alone, it feels like classic Vile. Incredibly personal, place-based, and a little sentimental without trying too hard. If his last few records are any indication, the songs will probably land somewhere between offhand and oddly specific, with lyrics that feel half-stream-of-consciousness and half completely locked in.
“This is my ‘bringing it all back home to Philly’ record,” Vile explained. “I’m treating it like my last record. I put everything into it. It’s my best vocal record. It’s my best electric guitar record. It’s my most organic record, made in the comfort of my own zone.” Some artists go out of their way not to hype up unreleased projects…but Vile isn’t one of them, and that’s what we love about him. He’s fully aware of his talents and the insane effect they have on people….
And the now 46-year-old has never been afraid to show it. Songs like “Pretty Pimpin,” “Mount Airy Hill,” and “Hey Like A Child” don’t hit all at once — they kind of settle in. You throw one on and suddenly it’s five minutes later and you’re still there, listening like you’re back in 2016 and soaking in every psychedelic beat. Kurt Vile lives for small moments that turn into something big, which is also the vibe with his live shows. That’s always been the appeal with Kurt Vile. He’s not chasing big moments, he’s building something you can sit with.
His sets aren’t rushed, and they’re definitely not over-structured. A song might stretch out longer than expected, a guitar line might loop a few extra times, and no one’s in a hurry to move on. It’s less about “what’s next” and more about just staying in the song a little longer than you planned to… and this feeling will hit even harder with Philadelphia’s Been Good To Me in the mix.
As Vile explained in the earlier quote, he made this record like it may be his last. And therefore, he plans to tour the hell out of it while doing what he does best — impressing indie rock lovers who, well, aren’t easily impressed.
