Wallows 2024 Tour Announcement – Model Tour Schedule
Wail your heart out with Wallows! The SoCal rockers are heading on the “Model Tour” later in 2024, beginning on August 6th in Portland, OR. Joined by Benee, they’ll make 20+ stops including Seattle, WA, Las Vegas, NV, Chicago, IL, and more before concluding on September 12th in Los Angeles, CA.
Described as the biggest Wallow tour to date, this outing will support everything the group stands for …from their signature alt-rock sound and cinematic music videos to brand-new tunes. Speaking of which, the third Wallows album, Model, is set for release on May 24th, and they’re already hyping fans up with the first two singles. Have you heard “Your Apartment” or “Calling After Me” yet?
The former is complete with an artsy music video in which frontman Dylan Minnette, who you may know from his lead role on Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, bares his soul and baby blues. This is clearly one of the most mature Wallows albums to date, which is only proven further with “Calling After Me.” Reminiscent of early The 1975, this feel-good track is destined to be a crowd pleaser during the Model tour, and for many years to come.
“It sounds like what you would imagine or kind of hope that the Wallows would sound like,” drummer Cole Preston told Rolling Stone. “It’s an easily accessible, kind of light on its feet but still intricate and precise record. We hope it gets our fans excited while also drawing in new listeners.” If that doesn’t explain the diverse sound of Wallows in a nutshell, we don’t know what does.
Weaving elements of power and bedroom pop, punk, and indie into their alt-rock sound, Wallows has excited their fans since 2011. With upbeat singles like “Are You Bored Yet?” “Remember When,” “These Days,” and “Scrawny,” all of which will be played on the Wallows tour along with new tunes, they’ve risen from teenagers in guitar class (where they met a decade ago) to full-blown rock stars.
