St. Vincent 2024 Tour Announcement – All Born Screaming Tour Schedule
St. Vincent, also known as Anne Clark, is all set for the “All Born Screaming tour” later this year, supporting her upcoming seventh album of the same name. Joined by Spoon, Yves Tumor, Momma, and more on select dates, these St. Vincent concerts will begin on May 22nd in Ventura, CA. She’ll stop in cities like Napa, CA, Carnation, WA, Toronto, ON, and more before concluding on September 20th in Saint Paul, MN.
Set for release on April 26th, All Born Screaming is a sacred project for St. Vincent. Not only does it follow up 2021’s critically-acclaimed Daddy’s Home, which she made alongside Bleachers’ Jack Antonoff, but it’s also the first-ever record she’s produced solo. Is it a lot of pressure? Yes. But if anybody is up for it, it’s this ultra-talented songstress and her catalog of hits, both past and future.
Clark has already released a couple of new singles, including “Flea” and “Broken Man” with help from Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. The latter, in particular, is a fiery and fresh track that represents all that St. Vincent is trying to get across with All Born Screaming…independence, fear, hope, and perhaps most of all, swagger. She recently explained her thought process behind the record to NME, and it’s a doozy.
“For me, the record is black, white and all the colours in the fire, because it’s about life and death,” Clark said about All Born Screaming. “Life and death is pretty binary – you’re alive or you’re dead. The record’s about what is to be alive and to embrace that agony and ecstasy.” It’s a dark, but highly realistic view of the human experience in the form of song, which St. Vincent never could have manifested without a major leap of faith.
“I’ve co-produced every one of my records and seen it through, but with this one I needed to go places I hadn’t gone sonically before,” she said about producing All Born Screaming entirely on her own. “I needed to understand sound – scientifically and also as intention. I needed to say, ‘I am physically moving electricity around, I’m playing with currents, I’m gonna be f***king Thor’. My fingerprints are on everything. I feel closer in a certain way, because it’s genuinely the inside of my head without any filter.”
It’s no secret that St. Vincent can craft a killer album, starting with her 2007 debut, Marry Me, and extending through the GRAMMY-winning Daddy’s Home in 2021. But she’s spreading her wings and singing to the beat of her own drum, literally, on All Born Screaming. And you need to see and hear it to believe it. Get your St. Vincent tickets now!
