Tritt wasted no time getting back on the stage after the pandemic, joining Brooks & Dunn on their Reboot tour in summer 2021. While this country bash has been all kinds of fun, the 80’s and 90’s icon is ready for a few headlining shows. Are you prepared to hear the county hits that made Tritt a multiplatinum-selling artist, including “Help Me Hold On,” “Foolish Pride,” and “Anymore?”
Of course, those number-one singles are just the beginning for Travis Tritt. The Grammy-winning country singer just released his thirteenth studio album, Set in Stone, in May 2021 – which also happens to be his first in nearly a decade.
Riff Magazine calls the Travis Tritt album “an ode to the classics as his soulful twang pours over 11 new tracks of heartfelt love songs, upbeat tavern tunes, and melodies that reminisce on the good ol’ days.” It’s what you can expect from a country crooner with a three-decade career, along with a few treats for the younger crowd.
Tritt has earned a new legion of younger fans in the last few years, courtesy of social media and his growing status as a meme. The cover of his 1998 album, No More Looking Over My Shoulder, features the country crooner grinning from ear to ear while wearing head-to-toe denim. This shot often accompanies quirky captions like “when you’ve got rice cooking in the microwave” or “when you finally get to see another country concert.”
There are worse things to be known for than your status as a meme, and Tritt embraces it with his newer millennial and Gen Z fans.
“For some reason, it caught on later on. Later, after it was off the charts, it started catching on with a lot of younger people,” Tritt explained to Taste of Country about his 2000 single, “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.” “And there’s a lot of people today that are in their 20s, or teens, that basically relate to that song, and that’s the main song from me that they know. It’s weird how that works.”
It may be weird, but it also helps bring people of all ages to the nearest Travis Tritt concert! The country icon will be playing old and new hits on his headlining shows, and you can check the tour schedule below and get your tickets today!
