The War on Drugs 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

The War on Drugs is continuing the North American leg of their tour, with plans to visit over a dozen cities through the end of February. You can next see them on January 27th in Philadelphia, PA, with the final show occurring on February 26th in Los Angeles, CA.

This tour supports the group’s fifth album, 2021’s I Don’t Live Here Anymore, which also happens to be their first in over four years. Fans and music critics agreed that it was well worth the wait. Rolling Stone credits The War On Drugs with “inventing indie yacht rock,” while Pitchfork, Stereogum, and Spin all included the record on their respective lists of the “50 Best Albums of 2021.” 

Songs like “Harmonia’s Dream” and the titular track were particularly praised, with Stereogum stating that frontman Adam Granduciel “has learned how to wield every element of this project together” and calling the album “more colorful and vibrant and real than we could have hoped.” I Don’t Live Here Anymore was undoubtedly a welcome surprise in a bittersweet year like 2021, and these songs are even more powerful when played live on the 2022 The War on Drugs tour.

Granduciel and his bandmates have taken extra caution to keep fans safe at these shows. They’ll be performing without opening acts to ensure less risk of disease spreading while also playing a series of outdoor venues and encouraging fans to wear masks at all times.
