The Gaslight Anthem 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
The Gaslight Anthem is back and ready to hit the road! The indie rock band will begin performing on May 1st in Houston, TX, continuing through the 27th in Lafayette, NY.
This will only be the band’s second trek since returning from a four-year hiatus in 2022. So why miss the chance to see them perform their heartland punk rock hits again? The Gaslight Anthem will also be playing its first shows in the South in nearly a decade, which is all kinds of exciting! It’s been way too long since Brian Fallon, and his bandmates sang along to classics like “Here’s Looking At You, Kid,” “Handwritten, and “45” in front of packed crowds. Therefore, the group is soaking up every moment at these May 2023 shows.
The band announced their return to “full-time status as a band” last year, with frontman Brian Fallon making a heartwarming statement. “I hate to disappoint you, but I need to inform you that there will not be a 10th-anniversary Handwritten Tour or a documentary,” he wrote. “However, I am very pleased to announce to you all that The Gaslight Anthem is returning to full-time status as a band.” They did get to celebrate one decade of their fourth album, 2012’s Handwritten, and this unlocked a new sense of nostalgia for millennials on last year’s tour… so we’re just excited to see what they now have in store!
Fallon has stated that The Gaslight Anthem is currently working on their sixth LP, their first since 2014’s Get Hurt, although he hasn’t been clear on the release date. It’s a bummer, for sure, but we could wait four years for a band reunion, so what’s a few more weeks or months?! In the meantime, The Gaslight Anthem is set to embark on one of its most exciting tours in recent years, and you shouldn’t wait to grab your tickets.
