The Doobie Brothers 2022 Tour Announcement – 50th Anniversary Tour Schedule
The Doobie Brothers have extended their 50th Anniversary tour, with more shows taking place in summer 2022. After a brief residency in Las Vegas, NV in May, the group will officially kick off their trek on June 3th in Tampa, FL, and continue through October 12th in Nashville, TN.
“We are excited to play more shows in 2022 and will be coming back around to Nashville to wrap things up,” said Doobie Brothers singer and guitarist Tom Johnston. “It’s fitting as that’s where we first announced our 50th Anniversary Tour back in 2019.” This 50th-anniversary tour has been years in the making, initially set for 2020 before being postponed due to the pandemic. They successfully toured the world in 2021, but can’t wait to go back to Nashville, Cincinnati, Los Angeles, and countless other US cities.
Michael McDonald will return to the stage with Doobie Brothers in summer 2022, after coming home last year to tour with them for the first time in nearly 30 years. He also joined them for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2020! While the “kings of yacht rock” have undergone plenty of lineup changes over the years, you can now see most of the original lineup in all their glory.
