Smashing Pumpkins 2024 Tour Announcement – The World Is A Vampire Tour Schedule
Smashing Pumpkins have extended their “The World is A Vampire tour” into the summer of 2024, taking the 2x-GRAMMY winners to eleven new cities. They’ll kick off on August 3rd in Montreal, QC, at the Osheaga Festival, continuing through September 27th in Las Vegas, NV.
“I grew up in a world where I needed to know bands like Siouxsie and the Banshees and The Cure existed; it meant there was a place for people like me to hang out and belong,” says Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. “That’s what The World Is A Vampire is about. Bringing back that sense of community. If you don’t fit in, you belong here. It’s about having a shared experience and respecting others, but ultimately having fun.”
There’s no alternative party, designed for the outsiders of the world, quite like a Smashing Pumpkins concert, and they’ve proved it consistently over their 26-year career. Just last year, the band released the final act of their three-part Atum rock opera series, blowing listeners away with bold tracks like “Spellbinding” and “Empires.” Corgan’s ethereal vocals, combined with the band’s signature dream-pop-meets-gothic rock sound, has had listeners clutching their headphones in awe for decades now.
