Plenty of old-school Warped Tour favorites are heading on tour in 2022, from Sleeping with Sirens and Memphis May Fire to Bring Me the Horizon. Silverstein had to join in on the fun, especially since they just released their tenth album, Misery Made Me! It’s an ironic title for the emo heavyweights but serves as a stunning representation of their 22 years in music. Now they’re ready to play alt-rock hits old and new for endlessly supportive fans.
New singles include “It’s Over,” “Bankrupt,” and “Live Like This,” the last of which was made into a stunning and emotional music video. “I don’t wanna die, but I can’t live like this’ — the lyric says it all,” frontman Shane Told says of the single. “Living through an unimaginable time, we all faced some of the darkest feelings of our lives. The uncertainty, the anxiety, it was crippling.”
“Bringing in another voice was important for this song to show its universal meaning,” he continues, referencing guest vocals from nothing, nowhere. “Joe [nothing, nowhere.] is from a different country, a different upbringing, a different age group, but his voice resonates just as loud as mine.” The song is undoubtedly one of the most relatable on Misery Made Me and is peak Silverstein with equal parts screaming and singing.

The late 2000s heyday of screamo bands may be over, but they’ve made a comeback in 2022. Machine Gun Kelly has gone emo, When We Were Young is happening in the fall, and rock artists like Falling in Reverse and mixing their riffs with rap and EDM verses. Silverstein has shown loyalty to their alt-rock roots while also sticking to the times, and it’s evident with Misery Made Me. This summer, you can see the rock band alongside The Amity Affliction, with tickets now available for the following dates!
