Sevendust 2022 Tour Announcement – Animosity Tour Schedule
Sevendust has announced the final leg of their “Animosity tour,” a delayed 20th-anniversary trek celebrating their third album. These Sevendust concerts kick off September 10th in Cherokee, NC, and continue through October 1st in New Orleans, LA.
Joined by Nonpoint, Bastardane, and Burden of the Sky, the veteran rockers are ready to give this anniversary tour a proper sendoff. Animosity was a life-changing album for Sevendust, after all. It charted at No. 28 on the Billboard 200 upon its 2001 release and spawned catchy singles like “Praise,” “Angel’s Son,” and “Live Again.” You’ll be hearing those tracks and many more at these Sevendust concerts, which work through one of the most crucial eras of their nearly three-decade career.
Additionally, we can’t forget the ten other albums Sevendust has released since Animosity, the latest one being 2020’s Blood & Stone. Lead singer Morgan Rose recently went on The Jasta Show to discuss the Sevendust tour, progress on the new album, and more.
“I go to Kansas on the 20th. We’re gonna finish up the writing for it then. I’ll be there for, like, a week,” Rose said in July 2022. “Me and the rest of the guys are going to Kansas to rehearse and work on the rest of these songs. And then I think the 10th or the 11th of July; we move into the studio for six, seven, or however many weeks it’ll take to record the new album.”
“Finish that,” he continued. “And then we’re gonna do one more run of the ‘Animosity’ anniversary dates ’cause people seem to like it. So do one more run of that.” “Seem to like it” is a bit of an understatement, as fans have been flocking by the thousands to this Sevendust tour. It may be the last set of Sevendust concerts for a good while, as Rose also stated that the band wouldn’t perform in support of their new record until the end of 2023 at the earliest.
