Sad Summer Festival 2023 Lineup and Ticket Schedule
Sad Summer Festival is coming to your city! The mini-emo extravaganza is headlined by Taking Back Sunday with performances from The Maine, Pvris, Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans, Motion City Soundtrack, and more. Get your tickets beginning July 6th in Jacksonville, FL, and continuing through the 29th in Irvine, CA.
While the inaugural Sad Summer Festival took place in 2019, it sadly (pun intended) had to take a few years off for obvious reasons. The event had its post-pandemic return in 2022, with appearances from pop-punk heroes like State Champs, Mayday Parade, Neck Deep, and more! Now that live music is back in full swing; you can bet that 2023 will be the biggest and boldest year yet. These all-star pop-punkers are gathering together under the summer sun for a reunion that can only be described as a mini Warped Tour, and you’ll have a blast singing along and fist-pumping to your favorite emo hits.
While nostalgia is part of the vibe at Sad Summer Festival, with most of the band’s careers dating back nearly two decades, they’re still active today and armed with new hits for the setlist. Taking Back Sunday recently collaborated with DJ Steve Aoki on the track “Just Us Two,” plus a remixed version of their mid-2000s classic, “Cute Without the E.” Meanwhile, The Maine came out with their eighth album in 2021, and Motion City Soundtrack recently wrapped up the 15th-anniversary tour of their iconic album, Commit This to Memory. You’ll take a walk through memory lane and enjoy new music at Sad Summer Festival, which will ironically make any former emo kid happier than ever.
It’s no secret that an emo revival has taken place over the past few years. Machine Gun Kelly summoned Bert McCracken of The Used and Oli Sykes of Bring Me the Horizon to provide guest vocals on his latest album, while When We Were Young Fest debuted in Las Vegas, NV, last year with every emo band known to man. The party only continues with the revival of Sad Summer Fest, which is guaranteed to make every millennial laugh, cry, and hardcore dance simultaneously. Get your tickets now!
