REO Speedwagon 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
REO Speedwagon is ready to get back on the road, and you’re in for a classic rock concert unlike any other. The tour is already well underway and continues through December 18th in Northfield, OH!
“It was amazing. You know, it was a sold-out show, outdoors with about 7,000 people,” REO Speedwagon singer Kevin Cronin told Ultimate Classic Rock about the group’s first post-pandemic show in Aurora, IL, in July. “Just strapping out a guitar and walking out on stage for the first time, the reaction of the Illinois rock fans was indescribable. I had so much emotion going through me.”
These emotions have flowed in the months since, as REO Speedwagon has made stops in all your favorite cities while playing classic rock hits from the last fifty years. Yes, they’ve released a whopping sixteen albums since their self-titled debut in 1971.
Despite not releasing an album of original material in over a decade, REO Speedwagon continues to be a popular touring act. Why? Blabbermouth says it best. “REO Speedwagon’s unrelenting drive, as well as non-stop touring and recording, jump-started the burgeoning rock movement in the Midwest,” the publication said in August 2021.
In nearly every show, they play hit singles like “Hi Infidelity,” “Keep On Loving You,” and “Take It On the Run” that prove that REO Speedwagon may be one of the most underrated classic rock acts around. There are plenty of bands in this genre touring this year, like ZZ Top and KISS, but you’ll definitely want to add REO Speedwagon to the top of your classic rock concert list.
