Postmodern Jukebox 2021-2022 Tour Announcement – Grand Reopening Tour Schedule
Postmodern Jukebox is continuing its Grand Reopening tour throughout the US in 2021, and you don’t want to miss seeing these YouTube sensations on stage! On October 13th in Northampton, MA, the following performance occurs, while the trek continues through December 10th in Carmel, IN.
While you may be used to seeing this rotating musical collective through your computer screen, wait until you see Postmodern Jukebox live! The group has been putting their jazz and swing spin on popular songs for the past decade, reinventing the “Roaring Twenties” tunes in the 2020s. From Lady Gaga and Katy Perry to Coldplay and the Strokes, you’ve never seen pop covers quite like those of Postmodern Jukebox.
While it’s called the Grand Reopening tour, the rotating members of Postmodern Jukebox had an advantage amid the pandemic. They got their start on YouTube in 2011 with their weekly song covers, featuring jazz-esque dance moves and modern songs with a vintage twist.
These covers continued even as live music shut down, with their 5 million subscribers swaying along to a 60’s version of No Doubt’s “Don’t Speak” and jazzy rendition of Rihanna’s “Umbrella” weekly. This helped fans feel closer to the group and enjoy the beauty of music even in a stressful year… and Postmodern Jukebox can’t wait to reconnect with their audience in real life!
The members of Postmodern Jukebox are plentiful and constantly changing, but there are a few standouts. Scott Bradlee founded the group ten years ago and continues to play with PMJ, while former American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart performed for years. In fact, her cover of Radiohead’s “Creep” in 2015 earned nearly 100 million views and became one of the most popular Postmodern Jukebox videos of all time.
It’s not clear which singers will be joining the Postmodern Jukebox on stage throughout the Grand Reopening tour… but they’re guaranteed to put on a modern and magical show with vintage vibes! A Coldplay cover featuring Puddles the Sad Clown was something we didn’t even know we needed in 2021 until we met Postmodern Jukebox, and these concerts will be unlike any other.
