Lord Huron has been playing concerts practically nonstop in fall 2021, with both headlining shows and festival appearances. You may have seen them perform at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and The James Corden Show on their trip to Los Angeles. At the same time, there were also spots on the Moon River Festival in Chattanooga, TN, and Sea Hear Now Festival in Asbury Park, NJ.
While fans eagerly await Lord Huron’s set at Outside Lands alongside The Strokes and Tame Impala on October 30th, other shows are to look forward to! The Michigan-based group will be visiting San Diego, CA, Phoenix, AZ, Austin, TX, and more at the end of the month, and we can’t wait to see their one-of-a-kind show.
While most commonly described as indie-rock, Lord Huron has a sound that’s entirely their own. Since forming in 2010, the band has blended folk, indie, and surf rock over their four albums, plus the occasional pop and new-age influences.
The Wall Street Journal says it best in reviewing the latest Lord Huron album, 2021’s Long Lost. The record is described as “a decidedly cinematic flair, heavy on mood and evocative imagery.” The publication also says that Lord Huron “brings to mind the high-lonesome sound of antecedents like the Band, Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, and Fleet Foxes.”
