Old Dominion is the latest country act heading on the road this summer, and it’s going to be a blast! Shows begin on August 19th in Charleston, SC, and go on through December 18th in Philadelphia, PA.
“This is literally the moment we’ve all been waiting for! We’ve all gone through it the last year,” the five-piece country band said in a statement. “Now, it’s time to get back together, forget everything for a few hours, and have a great time.”
A great time is something that Old Dominion can always provide. Exhibit A? Their Instagram. It’s packed with not only performance shots that demonstrate how much the country quintet loves to play together but also silly photos of yacht rides, golfing, and beach shows at sunset. Sensing a water theme here? It leads to something big that the group released in 2021.
In May, Old Dominion released their latest single, “I Was On a Boat That Day.” The breezy beat and simple lyrics were beloved by critics, who applauded the group’s first new song since 2019. It’s unknown if Old Dominion plans to release their fourth album anytime soon, but the CMA-winning group will have a great time playing their top singles of the last decade on their upcoming tour.
You may know the songs we’re talking about. “One Man Band,” “Make it Sweet,” and “Hotel Key” are just a few! There are plenty of solo country artists on tour in 2021, like Brad Paisley or Jamey Johnson, but there’s something special about the five men in Old Dominion. They come to have a good time and enjoy the company of each other and their fans, and it’s going to create one of the best country concerts of the year.
