NEEDTOBREATHE 2021 Tour Schedule – Into the Mystery Tour Announcement
NEEDTOBREATHE is hitting the road this fall for the Into The Mystery tour, named for the rock band’s upcoming album. They will be joined by Switchfoot and The New Respects on the 38-city tour, which begins on September 7th in St. Louis, MO, and continues through October 30th!
This will be the first NEEDTOBREATHE tour in nearly two years, as the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the group from touring in support of their 2020 release, Out of Body. Instead, the group decided to continue their creativity stride and begin work on their next album in an unconventional way.
“So last fall when we couldn’t go out on tour for Out of Body, we did something a little crazy.,” the band wrote on Twitter in April 2021. “We all got covid tested, moved into a house in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee, and made what will be our eighth studio album… Into The Mystery.” While this album won’t be released until July 30th, the group has given fans plenty of sneak peeks.
NEEDTOBREATHE teamed up with country superstar Carrie Underwood for the nostalgic, folk-rock track “I Wanna Remember,” which they performed together at the CMT Music Awards. The group has also released singles like “Sunshine” and “What I’m Here For” that remind fans why they’ve stood by the group for two decades.
Pandemic-made albums are somewhat of a trend in 2021. However, how many groups can say that they made a record over a few weeks’ time…. while cooped up in a house with their bandmates?
