Mom Jeans are making their way to you in 2024! The indie pop-punk outfit will headline a tour next summer with some very special guests. With support from Summer Salt, Hunny, Bad Bad Hats, Born Without Bones and more, they’ll kick off on March 1st in Oakland. The NoCal-based group will stop in Austin, TX, Albany, NY, Salt Lake City, UT, and more before concluding on April 7th in Seattle, WA.
November 2023 has been a crazy exciting month for Mom Jeans. Not only did they announce their appearance at next year’s When We Were Young Festival plus a headlining tour, but there’s also new music to indulge in! Well, “new old” tracks. The band just released their fourth album, Bear Market, featuring reimagined songs from their entire career. Putting a more poppy spin on favorites like “40 hands,” “Kevin Eats Cats,” and “Danger Can,” you’ll fall in love with Mom Jeans all over again in one listen.
Mom Jeans has never shied away from reinvention, switching between indie-rock, pop-punk and Midwest emo throughout their time together. Their last record of new material, 2022’s Sweet Tooth, even had an electronic vibe to it!But Bear Market is unapologetically pop, and a simple delight to be enjoyed by Mom Jeans fans old and new. “We had all these great songs laying around, and we figured we might as well re-record them,” vocalist Eric Butler says. “People should really hear this stuff.” They can and they will — whether it’s through their AirPods, the speakers at their local venue, or both.
