Marie Osmond is set to embark on her “A Symphonic Christmas” tour this December, featuring special guests David Osmond and Daniel Emmet! The iconic entertainer will play her first show of the tour on the 1st in Cedar City, Utah, and continue throughout the month until the 20th in Detroit, MI.
Osmond has been performing for practically her entire life, and spending two years away from the stage due to the pandemic wasn’t easy for the country and pop singer. Fans know that Christmas music is her favorite to sing, and the “A Symphonic Christmas” tour will be packed with heartfelt holiday hits.
You may or may not remember Donny & Marie: A Broadway Christmas, a top-selling seasonal show that premiered in the early 2010s. It attracted sold-out audiences in New York City as Marie played alongside her brother, Donny Osmond. It was a bit more low-key than the shows they’ve played together in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, but with all the same good vibes and amplified glee-fullness that made it a must-have for Christmas in Manhattan.
As much as Marie loves playing alongside her brother Donny, she’s ready to set out on her own and deliver a spectacular show on this Christmas tour. She’s proven since the 1970s that she’s the ultimate solo artist, breaking away from her brother’s pop-rock-disco roots in The Osmonds to become a country-pop artist.
That being said, she’s still keeping it in the family. Marie’s nephew, David Osmond, is serving as her opening act on this Christmas tour, while she may even play a few Donny & Marie songs for old times sake. And then there’s Osmond’s eleventh album, Unexpected, which is set to be released December 10th. Will she play these new songs for the very first time on the “A Symphonic Christmas” tour? One can only hope!
