Lynyrd Skynyrd wasted no time getting back on stage after the pandemic, kicking off their summer tour in June 2021 and playing to packed stadiums. However, things came to a halt when guitarist Rickey Medlocke tested positive for COVID-19 in early August. The group canceled and postponed a handful of shows while Medlocke recovered and is now ready to say goodbye to summer and begin a new season of Southern rock.
