Lynyrd Skynrd 2021 Tour Announcement – Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ Tour Schedule
Lynyrd Skynyrd is back on the road after a brief break from their Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ tour, and the fall shows will be even more action-packed! Next, you can see the Southern rock icons on October 8th in Noblesville, IN, with performances continuing through November 20th in Tupelo, MS.
Lynyrd Skynyrd wasted no time getting back on stage after the pandemic, kicking off their summer tour in June 2021 and playing to packed stadiums. However, things came to a halt when guitarist Rickey Medlocke tested positive for COVID-19 in early August. The group canceled and postponed a handful of shows while Medlocke recovered and is now ready to say goodbye to summer and begin a new season of Southern rock.
What can you expect from a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert? A few staple songs, including “Free Bird” and “Sweet Home Alabama,” are played at nearly every show. These hits didn’t just help the band rise to stardom over the past five decades; they also inspired dozens of country-rock artists that decided to blend the genres only after Lynyrd Skynyrd did it.
An indication that Lynyrd Skynyrd puts on a fantastic live show? They haven’t released an album of new material in almost ten years, yet they still regularly release top-selling live albums that take fans back to Lynyrd Skynyrd concerts of decades past. Once you’ve listened to the rock band live at Knebworth in 1976 on your AirPods, you’ll understand how much you need to see Lynyrd Skynyrd live in 2021.
Lynyrd Skynyrd has gone through a great deal of heartache since they formed in 1964, including dozens of lineup changes. These range from tragic deaths, like the infamous plane crash that killed original vocalist Ronnie Van Zant, to brief stints like Greg T. Walker. But these events have taught the group to never take anything for granted, which is why they rock just as hard in 2021 as they did a half-century ago!
Just like Lynyrd Skynyrd never misses a chance to play their bluesy and Southern rock hits to their loyal fans, you don’t want to skip out on the Big Wheels Keep On Turnin’ tour. Check the tour schedule below and get your Lynyrd Skynyrd tickets now!
