Los Ángeles Azules 2021 Tour Announcement – 40 Años Tour Schedule
Los Ángeles Azules is celebrating forty years in music with the 40 Años Tour this fall! The Mexican musical group began their trek in late August and will visit cities like Austin, TX, New York, NY, Bakersfield, CA, and many more before wrapping up on November 27th in Reno, NV.
The group simply had to make a stop in the City of Angels, where Los Ángeles Azules formed their hitmaking Mexican cumbia group back in the early 80s. They played the Performance Venue at Hollywood Park on September 11th to major applause and will return to Southern California with a show in San Diego on November 21st!
Los Ángeles Azules has had significant success over their forty-year career – bringing their cumbia sonidera sound across many continents, releasing thirty albums, and being able to do what they love with their family by their side. Remember, the group was formed by the siblings in the Mejia Avante family! But even with all these achievements, the last few years have been a major win for the Mexican cumbia group.
In 2019, the group landed their first No.1 single in nearly two decades with the hit “Nunca es Suficiente.” They gained a new legion of fans the year prior when a video of a shirtless Justin Bieber dancing to Los Ángeles Azules at Coachella went viral. Yes, that happened. And then there’s the 40 Años Tour, which is packing stadiums every night with longtime fans of the Mexican supergroup.
“Keeping cumbia alive has been very challenging,” vocalist Elías Porfirio Mejía Avante told Billboard in 2019. “The group has had its ups and downs, but the most important part of all is taking cumbia to all parts of the world, and that’s what’s happening.”
The group has had significant success in Argentina, Mexico, and more – but for now, the Los Ángeles Azules are happy to tour the US! Have you checked to see if they’re coming to a city near you? Find the tour schedule below and get your Los Ángeles Azules tickets now.
