Less Than Jake is soon hitting the road with The Aquabats and Bowling for Soup, producing one of the best pop-punk tours of summer 2022! Catch the three bands beginning June 22nd in Norfolk, VA, with shows continuing through July 9th in Newport, KY.
Dubbed the “Back for the Attack tour,” this trek celebrates the 30th anniversary of Less Than Jake. Can you believe that you’ve been listening to the ska-punk superheroes for three decades? They’ve released nine albums that celebrate their pop-punk roots and performed everywhere, from the Warped Tour main stage to the biggest venues across the country. This time they’re ready to celebrate their 30-year-career with the best Less Than Jake concerts ever, and they’re bringing a few friends along with them.
Bowling For Soup and The Aquabats are longtime friends of Less Than Jake, and it’s going to be a night abundant in pop-punk bangers. We’re talking about “Automatic,” “The Rest of My Life,” and “The Science of Selling Yourself Short” by Less Than Jake, of course. And then there’s Bowling For Soup’s mid-2000s hit “1985” and all the hits from The Aquabats that helped define the Southern California ska and the pop-punk scene in the mid-1990s. Are you excited yet to see this collection of rock heroes?
Going back to the Less Than Jake setlist for just a second, you can expect to hear a blend of both old and new hits. They’ve been ska superstars across three decades and have plenty of classic songs up their sleeve. Their ninth album, 2020’s Silver Linings, is also still in regular rotation at Less Than Jake concerts. We can’t say enough great things about new songs, like “Lie to Me” and Anytime and Anywhere,” which many will be hearing live for the first time post-pandemic!
