Koe Wetzel 2021 Tour Schedule – Sellout Tour Announcement
Fresh off his signing to Columbia Records, Koe Wetzel is taking his rule-bending country and rock hits on the road for the Sellout tour. Beginning July 8th in Anderson, SC, this Koe Wetzel tour makes 32 stops, including three nights joining 3 Doors Down on The Better Life 20th Anniversary Tour. Wetzel will play his final show of the trek in Las Vegas, NV, on November 20th.
This Koe Wetzel tour supports the singer’s fourth album, Sellout, released in November 2020. It’s undoubtedly an ironic name for his major-label debut, but Wetzel has insisted that he’s still the same Texas-born, genre-bending, and cowboy-hat-wearing artist that fans have fallen in love with over the past decade.
“We’ve been doing our thing for going on nine years now. I think that there are only so many things you can do as an independent artist,” he told Taste of Country in 2020. “And, you know, there’s only so many people that you can meet and to put out your music in the different areas. We had an opportunity for them to do that for us. So we just thought it was time.”
The major label influence is apparent on the upcoming Koe Wetzel tour, with slightly bigger venues than he has played in the past. However, this won’t change the exhilarating nature of Wetzel’s live performances. He has been fusing country and rock (particularly punk rock and grunge) throughout his career, while fans also notice the occasional hip-hop influence from his younger years.
These Koe Wetzel trademarks all come together in an incredible way when Wetzel steps onstage, creating a killer hybrid of musical genres that all the concert crowds will appreciate. Of course, Wetzel’s confidence is very much intact as he prepares to go on his first major-label tour.
“We’re a hundred percent authentic,” he recently told CMT News. “If you don’t like what we’re doing, it’s cool. We got people out there that do. We’re not out here to impress anybody or make somebody…like us. We’re not going to change for anybody.”
