The Weeknd 2021 Tour Schedule – After Hours Tour Announcement
The Weeknd fans have been waiting patiently to see the Canadian singer onstage, and the time is almost here! Rescheduled dates for the After Hours world tour have been announced. The North American leg begins on January 21, 2022, in Saint Paul, MN, and continues until May 1st in Tacoma, WA.
With over 60 shows in the United States and the Weeknd’s native Canada, fans will have plenty of chances to see the singer (real name: Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) perform his crooning, R&B hits. This tour supports The Weeknd’s fourth studio album, After Hours, a psychedelic blend of R&B, electropop, new wave, and dream pop that fans and critics loved.
After Hours came out in March 2020, with The Weeknd tour dates scheduled to begin that summer. While the lockdown caused the postponement of these tour dates, not even a global pandemic could keep The Weeknd from making the news. Three of his four singles from After Hours, including “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights,” reached number one on the Billboard charts, while he performed the second track at the 2021 Super Bowl LV halftime show.
The Weeknd has always been a music industry innovator, which explains why he was one of the first artists to announce a world tour for 2022. The After Hours world tour will kick off a year of massive pop concerts that you don’t want to miss! We’ve told you about the Billie Eilish tour and a potential Positions tour from Ariana Grande, but your first stop should be The Weeknd.

The Weeknd has dominated the charts and broke music industry records for years. That’s why it’s no surprise that After Hours is some of his best work. This psychedelic album highlights overindulgence and good times, two things that we didn’t get nearly enough of in the year 2020, and features top-charting hits that sound even better on the stage.
